Produced a tutorial for NE Ohio REAS staff appraisers explaining extraction and use of Auditors' GIS data in appraisal reports (2004).   • State Certified Residential Appraiser at Barry R. Ankney, Inc.. Tax card data collection and verification for both residential and non-residential properties in Geauga County, OH. Appraisal and appraisal review of CAMA-generated real estate values for property tax assessment.
  • State Certified Residential Appraiser at Hrubik Appraisal Services (05/01/2005 - Present). State Certified (Ohio) Residential Real Estate Appraiser, providing valuations of 1-4 family dwellings for various private individuals, lending institutions, Probate Courts of Summit and Medina Counties, and the US District Court, Northern Division (Cleveland). FHA roster since 2000.
  • Valuations Auditor at Old Republic Default Management Services (04/17/2008 - 10/10/2008). QC reviewer of Broker Price Opinions for lender clients needing valuations of real property both prior to foreclosure, and through disposition of the asset. Duties required review of the BPOs to meet client guidelines, and consultation with agents across the country to ensure that needed revisions to the reports were obtained.
  • Member, Board of Appraisers at Barberton-Norton Mosquito Abatement District (07/29/2005 - Present). Court-appointed appraiser for the mosquito abatement district.

    "The board of appraisers shall appraise the lands or other property within and without the district to be acquired for rights of way, reservoirs, and other works of the district, and shall appraise all benefits and damages accruing to all lands within or without the district by reason of the execution of the official plan." (ORC 6115.29).

    "The board of appraisers shall also appraise the benefits and damages accruing to municipal corporations, counties, townships, and other public corporations, as political entities, and to this state." (ORC 6115.30)

    "If the board of appraisers of a sanitary district finds that lands or other property not embraced within the boundaries of the district will be affected by the proposed improvement, or should be included in the district, it shall appraise the benefits and damages to such land or other property, and shall file notice in the court of the appraisal which it has made upon the lands or other property beyond the boundaries of the district, and to the land or other property which in its opinion should be included in the district. The board shall also report to the court any lands or other property which in its opinion should be eliminated from the district." (ORC 6115.31)

  • Review Appraiser at Appraisal Management Company (AMCO, now Valuation Services LLC) (07/05/2005 - 08/03/2007). Administrative (QC) review of residential appraisals nationwide to assure conformance with client appraisal guidelines. The position provided significant insight into the requirements of various clients, and knowledge of market conditions and special valuation problems across the country.
  • Appraiser at Real Estate Appraisal Services (REAS) (01/27/2003 - 04/30/2005). Staff appraiser for Charter One Bank. REO/foreclosure appraisal and post-funding fraud related field reviews, and experience as a staff appraiser in a high-volume work setting. Experience included sales, leasing, and management of small residential rentals, and acquisition of urban pipeline easements for an international industrial client. Ohio Real Estate Sales License is still active and on file with D. W. Kaufman Realty Company, Wadsworth OH.
  • President at Wolf Creek Custom Builders, Inc. (09/1986 - 04/1997). Residential contractor , framing and finishing single-family dwellings and small commercial buildings. From 1986 - 1990, my company employed, and I supervised, from 1-6 laborers and carpenters. As contractor and subcontractor I was responsible for job costing and bidding, and carried out all book-keeping and document filing activities.
  • Learning Center Supervisor at Apostolic Christian Leadership Institute, Edmonton AB. Educational Learning Center Supervisor for a private church-run academy, grades K-12. Oversight of two certified teachers and two to four part-time classroom assistants. Duties also included student academic counseling, and planning and implementation of student field trips.

During my tenure I was assigned and completed the task of designing and stocking the biology and chemistry laboratories for the high school, and review of all instructional materials for the courses which I taught.
